I actually found that easier than this one.Future Grown-Uphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00387381290668454597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4375684342026908848.post-67693067681136422532009-11-03T14:50:55.168-06:002009-11-03T14:50:55.168-06:00I love creme brulee...and your take on it is reall...I love creme brulee...and your take on it is really easy... Love all kinds of creme brulees ... if only they wouldn't use all egg yolks .. hate having those extra egg whites hanging around till I can figure out what to do with them!Muneebahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15988781282264439838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4375684342026908848.post-24254941380532405362009-11-02T14:20:30.844-06:002009-11-02T14:20:30.844-06:00It would probably be easier but those giant chunks...It would probably be easier but those giant chunks of sugar are so tasty...it's like having a sucker on top of the custard in a way.

Also, I think many people fear the thought of me armed with a torch. I've never tried to make creme brulee at home, although I've made creme caramel a couple of times.

This is the first time I've seen a recipe that has you carmelizing the sugar and then pouring it over. In all other recipes I've seen, sugar is sprinkled over top the finished custards and then browned with a kitchen torch or under the broiler. That might be easier because melted sugar is pretty temperamental.Palidorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04944977412578181586noreply@blogger.com
